Neulich im Ozean
Ich habe nach langer Zeit mal wieder Google Earth installiert und mal wieder festgestellt, dass dies wirklich ein nettes Tool ist mit dem man viel Zeit verbringen kann. Mir war gar nicht bewußt, dass sich auch aktuelle Informationen wie bspw. der Temperatur einblenden lassen.
Zufällig hab ich die ganz spaßige Website www.betrachter.de gefunden, die interessante Orte oder zufällig erfasste Begebenheiten wie bpsw. eine Kunstflugstaffel (gefunden in Google Earth) vorstellt.
Neu (in der aktuellen Version 5) ist nun die 3D-Darstellung von Unterwassereliefs:
Mittels Videos kann man sich mittels zusätzlicher Informationen u.a. über in der Nähe befindliche Schiffswracks informieren. Generell sind diese kleinen Fenster zwar geographisch den entsprechenden Orten richtig zugeordnet … aber wirken nicht so richtig in die Anwendung integriert. Das Feature “Street View” hat Google bspw. sehr geschickt in die App eingebunden.
Außerdem finde ich die Usability des Tools nach wie vor ziemlich optimierungswürdig. Es gibt mittlerweile eine große Anzahl von Layern bzw. Zusatz-Infos. Wenn man diese einblenden möchte gerät dies fast zwangsläufig zur Klick-Orgie.

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all. But think of if you added some great pictures or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Do you know how I avoid duplicate iCal alerts? (Apple support does not, so far…) I think b/c of iCloud calendar sharing involving my husband and that i, I’m getting two alerts for every event on the iMac and on the iPhone. almost everything is up to date and i use a new MacBook Pro and the new iPhone 4s.
